Mr. Cam
Advisor
Model United Nations has been a true passion of mine. Since 2021, I have had the privilege of leading and mentoring the HAS MUN team. In this role, I work closely with students to help them strengthen essential skills such as diplomacy, public speaking, negotiation, and research.
Watching students gain confidence, take initiative, and develop their own voices in complex discussions is what makes Model United Nations so meaningful to me.
Mr. Bangs
Advisor
Hello everyone, and welcome to HASMUN! My name is Mr. Bangs, and I am an instructor at Hsinchu American School. It's my honor to serve as part of this year's Secretariat Team.
My Model UN journey began when I was a high school student in the United States, where I first stepped into the role of a delegate. Over time, I expanded my involvement, later serving as a chair and even as a crisis director in a variety of conferences. Among my most memorable experiences were working in the Security Counciland taking part in fast-paced crisis committees, both of which challenged me to think critically, adapt quickly, and work collaboratively under pressure.
Through these experiences, MUN has sharpened my global awareness, built my confidence, and strengthened my skills in communication and teamwork. What continues to excite me about MUN is how world events are deeply interconnected — each issue part of a larger web of people and ideas. I am espacially interested in human rights, and I find it inspiring to see delegates explore complex global problems with creativity and determination.
Outside of MUN, I enjoy traveling and experiencing firsthand and places that we often debate in committee. This has given me a greater appreciation for the realities behind the issues we discuss.
